RFP - REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION LOAN PROJECT REHABILITATION OF HERBER...

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda (GOAB) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to USD 28,540,000.00 towards the cost of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Loan (the Project) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under this contract.  Payment by CDB will be made only at the request of (GOAB) and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Financing Agreement.  The Financing Agreement prohibits withdrawal from the financing account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.  No party other than (GOAB) shall derive any rights from the Financing Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Financing.

The Project is being implemented by the Ministry of Works through its Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU). The Ministry of Works has contracted Consultants who will assist the PIMU with delivering the Project.  The Consultants have prepared designs and contract documentation and will assist in tender administration and evaluation and supervise Project activities. 

The Ministry of Works now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Construction of the Herberts Road, which is approximately 3.34km long).

Please be advised that the eligibility of your bid/proposal, is subject to the completion of a Vendor Registration Form, which is also available from the e-Procurement platform.

 

Bid/Proposal for this tender can be submitted by:

 

a)    uploading to the e-Procurement Platform or 

b)    submitting two hard copies in a sealed envelope addressed to: Chairman, Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance and Corporate Governance, Parliament Drive and with the heading “Bid for the Construction of Herberts Road”.

Bid submission shall be no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday 26 May  2021.
